Football

Football, also known as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net, primarily using any part of the body except the hands and arms, with the exception of the goalkeepers, who can use their hands within the penalty area. The sport is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The game is divided into two halves, with each half lasting 45 minutes, and the team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. Football is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) at the international level, and it is one of the most popular and widely followed sports in the world, with various professional leagues, international competitions, and a rich history of traditions and fan engagement.
