Biotechnology

Biotechnology is the use of living organisms, cells, or biological systems to develop products and technologies that improve human life and the health of the planet. This field combines biological science with technological applications, leveraging processes such as genetic engineering, molecular biology, and cell culture to manipulate biological systems for various purposes. Biotechnological applications are widespread and include medical developments, such as the creation of vaccines and therapies; agricultural improvements, such as genetically modified organisms (GMOs) for enhanced crop yield and resilience; and industrial processes that utilize biological materials for sustainable production methods. The goal of biotechnology is to harness biological processes to solve problems, create new products, and improve quality of life.
